Q: What is flickrShow! ?

A: FlickrShow is a widget for nokia s60v5 mobile phone’s, this application also supports the homescreen view.

Q: What can it do ?

A: FlickrShow is an application which lets user to :

• Authenticate the application with his/her Flickr account.
• Get Contacts (pre added by the user) photos (max 50) and show them as a slide show / manual show.
• Get Favorite (can be pre added or can be added by the app) photos and show them.
• Search for Groups and view photos of the group (if user is permitted to view groups photos).
• Search for User’s photos just by entering the user’s flickr username.
• Search for photos byTags.
• search for photos by Text.
• Add any photo to favorites.
• Switch Safe Search on /off (depending on flickr user region policy and user’s own preferences).
• Add comments to any photo, view comments for a specific photo being viewed.
• View expanded  information on the photo(like photosets & group pools the photo is added in ,upload /taken date, uploader’s real name, uploaders location (if added by the uploader) ).
• Manually jump to any photo index number just by entering the index number of the images fetched.
• Next image in the pipeline preview, along with its title.
• Ability to free up most of the screen’s visibile space and preserving download bandwith by disabling comments and summary info, Making this app a highly economic solution for bandwidth conscious users.
• Getting the buddy icon for the uploader and displaying it.
• Starting the application in homescreen mode just downloads the smallest size preview ( makes it really low bandwidth user).
• If started in homescreen mode the application self starts the photostream of user’s favorites in the slide show mode.
• If the application is maximised  via a homescreen slideshow is on , the slideshow is paused.
• In portrait mode the medium sized image is downloaded from flickr server , whereas in landscape mode the normal size image(usually the large size for mobile phone) is downloded from flickr server.
• If a user turn’s off the information view from the application the amount of data transfered for each image is highly reduced.
  
• Showing comments and information is dynamic, it can be turned off and on any time, while using the application.
• Comments for photo’s are now in the reverse order (i.e. newest ones first) along with the date of comment posting.
